ZOMBIE NUKES?! Holtec schemes from MI to NY

Our environmental coalition has appealed to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissioners (NRC) against adverse rulings by the agency’s Atomic Safety Licensing Board Panel regarding self-inflicted steam generator (SG) tube degradation at Palisades in Michigan. Our expert witness, nuclear engineer Arnie Gundersen, has warned NRC’s Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards, not only about the SGs, but also Primary Water Stress Corrosion Cracking, recently revealed by Holtec, throughout the Primary Coolant System. These safety risks join many others as Holtec claims it will restart the zombie reactor by end of year. The company has also floated restarting Indian Point, NY’s closed reactors near New York City, despite already having partially dismantled them. Holtec is notoriously inexperienced, incompetent, corrupt and even criminal.
