UPDATE: RECA expansion on Senate floor next week

From the Congressional Record Daily Digest of February 29:

“Radiation Exposure Compensation Reauthorization Act (RECA)–Agreement: A unanimous-consent-time agreement was reached providing that at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Republican Leader, but no later than Friday, March 8, 2024, Senate begin consideration of S. 3853, to extend the period for filing claims under the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act and to provide for compensation under such Act for claims relating to Manhattan Project waste, and to improve compensation for workers involved in uranium mining; that there be up to one hour for debate equally divided between the two Leaders, or their designees; and that upon the use or yielding back of time, Senate vote on passage of the bill, all without intervening action or debate, with 60-affirmative votes required for passage.” For more details, see here.
