The power of messaging

This week’s edition of Nuclear Hotseat looks at nuclear activism and social messaging. Host, Libbe HaLevy interviews Colleen Moore (pictured), Digital Engagement Manager for Beyond the Bomb and Global Zero.  Moore creates content to promote the message of eliminating nuclear weapons and has experience in campaigning for justice and peace issues, including:

• ending U.S. support for the war in Yemen;
• promoting human rights and justice in Indonesia and East Timor,
• working for peace between North and South Korea, and
• advocating for access to education for women in Pakistan.

And Linda Pentz Gunter’s Hot Story, looks at the parallels between gun violence in the US and the refusal to give up guns, and the violence of nuclear weapons and the refusal of nuclear weapon countries to give up their atomic bombs.
