STOP EO radiation health menace

Tell the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), at their public meeting on July 16, 1-5 PM ET, that science demonstrates radiation exposure is always harmful. Registration required. The NRC is taking comments on Trump Executive Order (EO) 14300 Section 5(b), which directs the NRC to “reconsider” its use of the linear no threshold (LNT) model (starting page 2). NRC views this as an “opportunity” to “enable the nation’s use of nuclear power.” The LNT holds that radiation damage increases with increasing exposures, and that harm is posed by all radiation exposure no matter how small. Comments are 2 minutes long, but 10 minute presentations (scroll to bottom for details) will be vetted and approved by NRC through a proposal process.
