Beyond Nuclear on TV! A nuclear-free future chat
Beyond Nuclear’s radioactive waste specialist, Kevin Kamps, is a frequent guest on “Nuclear-Free Future Conversation,” hosted by Margaret Harrington (photo above) on Burlington, Vermont’s Town Meeting TV at the Center for Media and Democracy.
The program is celebrating its 15th year on the air. This interview, recorded January 20th, covers such wide ranging topics as: consolidated interim storage facilities (NorthStar, the company decommissioning the Vermont Yankee reactor, is closely connected to the Interim Storage Partners CISF in Texas); the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists annual “Doomsday Clock,” unveiled moments before the interview; the first anniversary of the Entry Into Force of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, observed on January 22nd; and nuclear’s inability to fix climate.
