Thom interviewed Beyond Nuclear’s radioactive waste specialist, Kevin Kamps, about the repeated military attacks on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine — Europe’s largest — and what that means in terms of risk.

Thom and Kevin also discussed the Japanese government and Tokyo Electric Power Company’s treatment of the Pacific Ocean as a radioactive wastewater industrial sewer at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, as well as the many tens of billions of taxpayer dollars in bailouts now available to dangerously age-degraded atomic reactors in the U.S., compliments of the just-passed Inflation Reduction Act, and the year-old Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
