Karl Grossman, professor of journalism at State University of New York/College at Old Westbury, author and Beyond Nuclear board member, has written a piece in Nation of Change outlining Trump’s dangerous stance on wind.

“Among his many actions on Monday in his first day as U.S. president, Donald Trump ordered a ‘temporary withdrawal’ of any new federal leasing of the Outer Continental Shelf for new offshore wind projects.

Trump said ‘We’re not going to do the wind thing. Big, ugly windmills. They ruin your neighborhood,’”

The article continues with quotes from UK press sources and New York State documents pointing out “Energy prices drop below zero in the UK thanks to record wind-generated electricity,” and embracing offshore wind.
