Honoring Daniel Ellsberg: A week of action

Ellsberg_Bulletin

Daniel Ellsberg — the Pentagon Papers whistleblower who has been an inspiring activist for peace since the early 1970s — recently disclosed that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given only three to six months to live. Since then, groups across the country, under the umbrella of Defuse Nuclear War, have been organizing to celebrate Ellsberg’s life and work and that of other whistleblowers and peacemakers. You can, too. “Daniel Ellsberg Week”, a commemorative week of education and action to honor Dan and peacemaking, will run April 24-30. Beyond Nuclear International will be publishing an Ellsberg tribute along with his own valediction. As Dan wrote, “All the young activists rising up give me hope as I leave my life.”
